Liked Pretty much everything, staff are great, campsite is well kept, lovely walking routes, pub 5 min walk away, good facilities, we and the kids enjoyed our stay

Disliked Everything, the place is an absolute S hole, full of people you don’t want to mix with. Allocated pitch was taken up by someone else, we were told to find another by the staff, we experienced domestic violence near our camp with their children screaming help as they smacked each other about, kids handbrake turning cars about and many rough people. Our kids cried most of the night as they were scared, good job as we were awake and could make sure nothing got nicked. If you are a genuine hard working family looking for a good little break with your kids, avoid this place and book somewhere else. We didn’t even do any activities, we just got out of there. I could go way deeper on more but you get the idea. Only good thing is we got refunded for the 2nd night without hassle.

From the manager: I’m really sorry to hear how upsetting your stay was, particularly knowing that your children were frightened and you felt uncomfortable during your time with us. That is certainly not the experience we want for any family visiting Meadow Bay. While we cannot be responsible for the behaviour of individual guests, we do take reports of antisocial behaviour extremely seriously. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards this type of behaviour, and when concerns are brought to our attention, our park teams will investigate and challenge those involved where appropriate. I’m pleased that our team was able to arrange a refund for the second night, although I appreciate this does not change the experience you had. We will also ensure your feedback regarding the pitch allocation and the concerns you experienced is shared with the relevant park team.
