Liked On arrival the hosts were very helpful and friendly. The pod was spacious and impressive. Everything we needed was supplied. A great place to visit and will definitely be back. Nice pub called The Torbay Inn is a 15 minute walk away and the staff there were very friendly.

Liked The views are sensational, gorgeous location and perfect place to chill and relax. Every morning woken up to the sound of birds and sheep was lovely. We used as a base camp and went out every day to explore - one hour from Tenby and 40 mins from Pembrey country park.

Disliked When looking for the break a number of websites had this advertised as a hot tub being there, but there isn’t - there is also a sign outside which indicates a hot tub used to be there. It didn’t spoil the break but it would be good to remove those pictures and sign so people aren’t disappointed when they arrive and there isn’t one.

Quiet and peaceful surroundings

Disliked When we arrived there was no one there to greet us the pod was locked with lock box on wall.. we rang owner for code and was told ‘we don’t know the code it can be one of these three codes ‘ and gave us three different codes to try..all was incorrect we then contacted again no answer on the phone this really did put a dampner on the mood it was 27 degrees heat with two thirsty dogs in the blistering sun when we finally got a answer we was given a completely different code and that one worked!
We was left outside for over 40 mins..

We went inside and noticed straight away there was a lot of dust cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere
Overall cleanliness of the place wasn’t good

There was there remote for the TV so couldn’t watch Netflix in the evening or even change the channels

No WiFi password was given

From the manager: my apologises with regards to the stay.

I have showed the above photos to our house keeping team.

I will replace the kettle and have bought them some limescale remover for the bathroom sink.

As you can seee from our previous reviews this is a definite one off. The code had been changed 2 days before your stay due to very unsatisfactory guests.

apologises once again and thanks for the many pictures of the repair works that I shall endeavour to get sorted. Due to the heat we have been experiencing the wood has shrunk.....

the cob webs on the window ledges can't be helped due our rural secluded location....

Liked The perfect location. So calm and relaxing. Absolutely beautiful

Disliked The website did show a hot tub and there was an old sign on the lodge regarding a hot tub but it had obviously been removed. A little disappointed but still enjoyed the stay

Liked This is our 2nd time visiting the country retreat. We were again very impressed with the quality and location of the pods, especially the hot tub which our son loved the most.
We love listening and spotting all the different birds, watching the sheep and toasting marshmallows. Top tip download the Merlin bird app x

Liked Balcony area, private garden, hot tub, parking next to pod, friendly owners, views, sheep field in front, location (recommend the Twyi Valley path - off road bike/walking trail) an hour or less to some amazing beaches.

Liked Location was beautiful.
The setting was amazing for a complete get away.
Only 3 pods.
Hut was lovely. Hot tub an amazing addition.
Internet and connection good (for researching area and kids)
Gates decking great for the dogs and kids

Disliked Not a dislike as such.
There were a few details missing that could turn it from basic. Storage for food and clothing is quite limited. Few things broke while staying which of course happens.

If sheep bleeting constantly would annoy you then could be issue (i found it very soothing).

Liked Amazing pod. Loved watching the cows and sheep in the field. Could totally relax because we knew that the dog couldn't escape as decking is fully secure. Hot tub was great and really enjoyable in the rain. WiFi is brilliant and we were able to watch Netflix in the night. Has a lovely picnic table and bbq which we didn't use as weather was a bit rubbish so cooked inside. Well equiped but I would take a sharp knife next time and a larger mugs for tea. Would definitely return and would be very comfortable in the winter too. Lovely bathroom with hot water and good pressure in the shower. Lots of room to relax, only drawback was the sofa bed was a little firm. Would definitely return.
