Positiv Fantastic, slightly quirky place with lots of facilities for kids - not much use to me but there. Owners did a meal offer and several other helpful things; pitches were flat and toilets super clean.

Positiv Lovely idyllic site on a working fruit farm in early autumn. Goats in the field. Beautiful lakeside pitches. Super-helpful host.

Negativ Nothing. If you choose the lakeside pitches it is a trek to the showers but there are other pitches at the top of the hill. Choices innit.

Positiv Everything! Lovely small, flat field in a quiet, natural location. Parked up facing an open aspect with a pale view of hills. Clean and tidy shepherd's hut with hot shower and excellent composting toilet. Friendly and helpful owners. An honesty box with nice supplies. Fire pits. Up there with the nicest sites I've ever stayed at.

Negativ Nothing. We had advantage of having it to ourselves but as owners insist on 10m spacing I think even at capacity it would be fun.

Positiv Beautiful site, excellent vibe, great location. So called rough and ready facilities were actually fine - compost toilets maybe not to everyone’s taste but the free showers were excellent. I’m a sixty something old fart but loved it.

Negativ Idyllic on Thursday and Monday - a lot of people arrived for Saturday night and some were noisy - noise rules weren’t enforced

Positiv Very relaxed and easy-osey. Was in the ‘ruff’ area some distance from ablutions but that was made clear on booking, brilliant location near coastal path so great walks.

Negativ There was a building site next door where they were preparing a new static area. Looks like it will be lovely when it’s finished.

Positiv Very nice firm and flat grass pitches Excellent facilities - very clean and spotless toilet block.

Negativ Difficult to find! I'm sure I will have missed instructions in the emails somewhere but satnav takes you along a back lane which eventually turns into a farmer's track. Best access for touring pitches turned out to be from the main road. Covid meant no welcome as such but good instructions sent out in advance.
