Positiv Amazing views, facilities were simple but effective, and we loved seeing the animals around the campsite. Really clear and well communicated expectations and rules so the campsite was super organised and felt safe (I was alone with my child and dog and felt really secure). So easy to walk to Robin Hoods bay and Boggle Hole via footpaths.

Positiv Friendly and welcoming host, access directly to the Tarn for swimming/kayaking/SUP etc and the cleanest portaloos I've ever seen! Brilliant traditional pub about a mile away and close to Coniston Water. Don't forget cash for the honesty horsebox!

Positiv Chilled out site right on the beach so perfect for families. The site was busy but didn't feel overcrowded and there was a nice vibe. Some of the field is sloped but plenty of space that is flat.

Positiv Beautifully kept site, lovely and peaceful. Amazing facilities and only a short (but steep!) walk down to the beach. Will absolutely be back!

Positiv 2nd time we've stayed at this lovely relaxed site and we'll definitely be back! Beautiful views, lovely clean toilets and such a friendly helpful host. An easy walk to Castleton where there's lots to do. Bring cash for the honesty box!

Positiv Pods were simple but perfect! Great firepit to cook on, laid out so it felt private and direct access to the wood for a walk. Shower block was the most clean and warm that we've ever experienced on a campsite! We also had free access to the Boar park which is great for families.

Negativ A few more hooks or a shelf in the pods would of been useful, but I'm searching for a dislike to fill the box!!!!

Positiv Beautiful scenery, next to the lake for swimming, paddle boarding etc, great starting point for walking routes. Lovely pub and cafes both within strolling distance. Basic facilities but very clean. David who owns the beautiful farm was present but no overbearing and so helpful and friendly. Absolutely would come back.

Positiv Amazing view of Mam Tor, loads of space in the beautifully maintained field, clean 'proper' toilets and the honesty box was a lovely touch. Really lovely welcome on arrival. We camped in a summer storm, but even that didn't ruin the experience at this lovely location!

Positiv Beautiful views and great location for Cayton Bay, with a good farm shop a short walk away. Lots of space and well maintained.

Negativ Only 3 portaloos for the whole campsite, a few more would of been good, however they were clean and checked regularly.
