Take time out for a spot of fishing on the River Severn, followed by a drink in the 15th-century inn (with varying opening times) next-door to the site, where the views are as tasty as the food and drink. The Willows is a small and friendly site in a spectacular and hugely handy location… Despite being encircled by lush scenery with the river (and separately owned pub) a mere hundred yards away, it’s also a 50-minute walk into the lovely historic town of Tewkesbury and a 15-minute drive from the outskirts of the Malvern Hills National Landscape. You can pick up your freshwater fishing permit in the pub (as if you needed an excuse for a visit...). In Tewkesbury, tour the abbey, gardens and museum or do a round of the cafés. If you fancy zipping off to the Malvern Hills for the day, there are plenty of hikes within a short drive or lively Great Malvern is within 25 minutes' drive of the site. The local countryside and riverbanks are great for ramblers and guests can find boat and bike hire, windsurfing and golf courses nearby. The country lanes and honey-coloured stone of the Cotswolds National Landscape can be accessed around half an hour's drive away, too. Around the site, there are splendid views of the river and lots of green space. Guests are welcome to bring their dogs along for their holiday. Barbecues are also given the green light, so don't forget to pick up your groceries while out pottering around Tewkesbury.

不喜欢 Toilet need some attention. Big planks of wood laying around . Not sure why . All little job which wood make the camp site better .

喜欢 Our pitch next to the adjacent farmer’s pond. Great variety of birdlife and lovely walks along the riverside.
Toilet paper was outstanding!
Water nice and hot.

不喜欢 Noise from the pub.
Facilities were awful. Unclean and generally uninviting.

喜欢 Absolutely fantastic location. The river Severn is a 2 minute walk and the pub is even less. I'd recommend this site to anyone. But the facilities do need a bit of an upgrade. All that said if you dont mind basics, then it'll tick all your boxes.

The manager, Mark was really helpful, we had a puncture on day of departure and he let me use his tools to change the wheel. Great service. 👍

喜欢 Really great campsite, lovely owner and facilities were far better than I expected considering the reviews. The toilets and showers were clean, and well stocked of soap, toilet roll etc. The campsite itself was nice, in a decent location for the river and pub. We were welcomed as a group of 8 students and had a great time at this campsite.

不喜欢 Walking routes are a bit limited, you can walk into Tewkesbury through fields and by the river but other than that there isn't much. Showers also were a bit temperamental temperature wise but nothing that's not expected from a campsite. There was WiFi, it was a bit weak where we were staying but fairly decent across the site, especially near the entrance and electric pitches.

Quiet campsite.
Location to the pub - we were attending a wedding there.
Tewkesbury is not far away, lovely place to wander around with great pubs.

不喜欢 Showers/toilets need some updating.
Steps up to the shower block are uneven and dangerous.
Lighting around the site would be good.

Slotted into a slender strip of land at the meeting point of the Severn and Avon rivers, Tewkesbury (five minutes' drive) hasn’t changed much over the centuries: black and white Tudor buildings overhang the narrow streets, and the 12th-century abbey has the highest Norman tower in England. There are town and country museums to explore, historic buildings like the Old Baptist Chapel, plus shops and entertainment aplenty. Also on your doorstep are the Cotswolds (from half an hour's drive) and attractive towns and cities such as Cheltenham (35 minutes) and Gloucester (half an hour). Ledbury (25 minutes), with its timber-framed houses and 17th-century market house, is also within striking distance. If you're yet to get your full fill of historic sites, head along to Eastnor Castle (20 minutes) or British Camp Hill Fort (25 minutes) in the Malvern Hills National Landscape or treat yourself to a ride on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (35 minutes' drive)
