Tyckte om Everything. Hosts were so thoughtful and helpful. The site is kept to a very good standard, cleaned often and clearly is the centre of attention for the owners. The little touches of Apple juice and fresh apples were very welcome. Best apples we’ve ever tasted. The views are incredible from the site, and the local area should be explored. A perfect few nights to relax.

Tyckte om Nothing, absolutely nothing. We left within an hour of arriving.

Tyckte inte om From the beginning the staff were rude. They did not like being challenged when I said I would not leave my passport as security. They insinuated that if I didn’t leave passport I should leave €50.00 cash just in case I stayed longer than I had booked. The staff member I spoke to needs a lesson in service. The pitches are small, the place is in need of some sort of revamp. The pool area looked nice enough. However, the final straw that made us decide to leave was the atmosphere of the pool area, certainly not somewhere I would want to spend time with my kids. A large group of blokes drinking jugs of beer with very loud music was not the type of welcoming vibe. This place could really improve just by setting some ground rules and improving initial contacts with customers. My mind was made up within 60 seconds of speaking to front of house. We went elsewhere (Hu Open Venice), had a brilliant time at an immaculate site.

Tyckte om The site itself is lovely. Great showers. Great BBQ and washing up area. Staff were incredibly helpful. Unfortunately after one night of six we decided to leave, the Gough no fault of the site. The site is lovely and clean, the staff are great and the service was good. A good spot if you are passing by or want to hike locally.

Tyckte inte om This is not about the site, more the area. We found the ‘lake’ and the surrounding areas to be a bit dirty compared to other places we have been. Cigarette buts, toilet paper in bushes etc. The lake is a reservoir/dam, has no area for small children to paddle (we of course could have researched better before visiting). The local area offered minimal for us as a family with kids aged 3 - 9.

Tyckte om Tranquility and simplicity. The location really allows for you to enjoy some peace. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the farm location and the kids loved the animals. Every one of the family enjoyed the cooler showers during the very hot summer weather.

Tyckte om The campsite was fantastic, local area stunning and facilities perfect. Close to the lake and the discounts/free tickets given by site for kids were a great addition. We managed to see the castle, swim in the lake daily, try local food and drink as well as use the local bus and tourist train service. Fantastic place. Expect the prices to be a bit higher, however, go two streets away from the Main Street and you will find good value.

Tyckte inte om My only dislike was the sites reception attitude to Pitchup customers. Upon leaving, reception suggested I paid a deposit to Pitchup as commission, but when checked by a manager my final bill was reduced to what I expected. Not to single out one person on reception, and certainly won’t name, but upon arrival I asked to be closer to the park as had 3 young children, I was told this wasn’t possible, then the manager walked through and said we could move as there was space. One particular member of reception just seemed a bit cold towards us for some reason. Maybe the reception team need to understand Pitchup payment terms.

Tyckte om Amazingly clean facilities. Local to the city with a great footpath that takes you straight to the heart of the city. Local shops and bakeries within walking distance. For anyone wanting to visit the Normandy coastline this is a perfect location to stop.

Tyckte om Children’s play park. Toilets and shower facilities were clean. Local area is so peaceful. Local transport was free using the guest card. Local lakes are well worth the visit. The whole area is so set up for a calm holiday.

Tyckte om Very clean and convenient site. Great access to the local swimming pool, and fantastic access to local amenities. The town is a 15 minute walk and has some lovely cafes and historic places to visit.

Tyckte inte om Not a dislike - and nothing the site can do. However, the pool was extremely busy. Granted it was summer holidays. Don’t expect to be able to go for a leisurely swim, the pool was packed. Out of summer season this may be a different story.

Tyckte om Everything. The pools and water slides were fantastic. The service in the reception was great. Pitches are a great side and connectivity to services was great. Local beach at Miniou was incredible.

Tyckte inte om Nothing. Although driving to the site it feels a bit of an odd area, it is worth bearing in mind the towns history and the fact it is France’s second bigust military base for their Navy, its industrial in parts.

Tyckte om Swimming pools were great. Location was perfect with so many great beaches close by. Toilets and showers were clean and plenty of them.

Tyckte inte om - swimming short rules for children had never been an issue anywhere else in France. However here, even the children needed the awful tight shorts. - Pitches where we were are so closely packed together. - Customer service just seemed a bit off at this place in comparison to others.

Tyckte om Clean facilities. Showers were lovely and warm with plenty of water pressure. Pool was warm. Sure was very organised, clean and tidy and spacious. Half hours drive to vast amount of WW2 beach/monument locations.

Tyckte inte om accepted this is an adventure training type venue, which is fantastic. However, that should not mean there are groups of teenagers wandering the camping areas shouting and swearing as the evening went on. There were young families who were clearly uncomfortable with the general behaviour of the groups, which was unchallenged by any staff. If there is separate areas for the groups to be located then activities should be focused in that area also. The one and only reason I will not return with my family is the apparant lack of control over visiting groups. I understand they are there to have fun and unwind, but that shouldn’t mean they take Over the kids play area and start shouting and swearing.

Tyckte om Plenty of open space, clean facilities and friendly staff. We needed a longer cable to fit 2 vans on to pitch 1, which was no trouble for the team. Great information given on arrival. Loads to do locally. Great atmosphere on camp. Although there was some mix up with pitches half way through our stay, we were given options to move to another pitch or area, which we did! The new spot turned out better than the original. So much space here for kids to be safe and run around and have fun.

Tyckte om The views and cleanliness. Also, sun house was lovely. Free WiFi is always a winner, especially if working while on the move.

Tyckte inte om Not necessarily a dislike, I just found it odd I needed to knock on someone’s house to get tokens for washing. Unable to do washing as when I did knock there was no answer to get tokens. (Past 1800 hrs, as per instructions on information board).
