Gostou Site grass and hedges well maintained and toilet facilities kept clean

Não gostou When we arrived on a more expensive pitch we backed on to the only rubbish/recycling area. The bins were all filled to capacity and overflowing. The bins were not emptied during our 10 day stay. Due to the heatwave the smell from the bins was overpowering and the amount of flies was intolerable making it impossible to sit out and enjoy the weather. The whole area smelt like a civic amenities centre. I am sure other areas of the site would have been fine We complained on day 3 and the staff were most apologetic. On the final day, someone came around to ask if we had enjoyed our stay. I explained our disappointment and reasoning. I was told we should have said and we would have been moved. Evidence suggests this was not on offer earlier in our stay, which is a shame, as the park was far from full capacity. All in all a 4 hour drive resulted in an expensive, disappointing stay with obvious health and safety concerns. There are only 4 gents toilets and 4 shower cubicles, (which were excellent) but busy even with the site being far from fully occupied. There is also no on site shop to speak of, with nearest shops being 8 miles away.

The refuse is collected fortnightly, and apologise that for some of your stay it was nearing full. We understand the heatwave could have caused the area to be slightly worse than we would normally expect. We will always do our best to ensure our guests are comfortable and happy with the pitch, and had a pitch move been requested, we absolutely would have done our best to accommodate this. Gostou We were forced to cancel due to my boy being hospitalised. Cofton were kind enough to send an email explaining they had no intention of returning any monies as per the contract. I never requested a refund, but a word of sympathy may have been more appropriated. Even kept the premium we paid for our dogs. I cancelled a Caravan Club booking at the same time. What a difference. I live and learn.
