I went with my son for a bit of fishing and some proper time away from screens, and it delivered exactly what we needed. From the moment we arrived, there was this calm, unhurried feeling—just fresh air, open water, and the kind of quiet you don’t realise you’ve been missing. The huts themselves were simple but spot on, cosy, and well set up for a comfortable stay without losing that outdoorsy charm. Everything felt easy, which made it all the more relaxing. Fishing-wise, it didn’t disappoint. We had a great time by the water, sharing a bit of friendly competition, and a few proud catches along the way. But honestly, it wasn’t even about how many fish we caught—it was the time together. Evenings were just as good—winding down, enjoying the peaceful surroundings in the hot tub and feeling completely switched off from the usual rush. We came back refreshed, a little sunburnt, and already talking about when we can go again.
