Hilton Court Campsite

A aimé The pitches are spacious and have plenty of room. Amenities are spotless some of the best we have used. Lovely grounds and gardens you can walk round. So quite and pieceful which was a nice change from some of the sites we visited

A aimé Absolutely serene countryside location, so quiet and relaxing. Campsite is well spaced and facilities excellent, including great shower (good pressure too).

A aimé Gorgeous place, super friendly owner and the facilities were looked after very well.. l will return!

A aimé Beautiful setting nice friendly owners very helpful well spaced out pitches would recommend

N'a pas aimé The route to the toilet block was not lit at night so would advise bringing a torch as the toilets are a fair way from the pitches Shower block although spotlessly clean only had one shower cubicle.

Réponse du gestionnaire : We’ll look into some more solar lighting although I don’t want too much near the camping area as we have so many people that enjoy the darkness for star gazing.
We have 2 showers in the ladies but only one in the men’s. It was definitely an oversight when we converted them but not much we can do now. To be honest it’s only in August when we are really busy that it’s noticeable. The rest of the year we are a lot quieter.

A aimé The campsite it's adults only, which was the main criteria for us, apart from the location.
The campsite is small, therefore quiet and pleasant.
There is a small fridge on site, which is great when you want to keep your beers cool ;)
We loved everything: the views, the gardens, the solar dome.
Toilets and showers clean and well maintained. Nice, powerful and spacious showers.
We've received an excellent customer service. Very accommodating, super helpful and friendly owners.

A aimé Loved the bathroom and shower facilities; the gardens; woodland trails; the lakes and the location. All pitches were flat ground, making pitching easy.

N'a pas aimé Could do with more lighting to the toilets and dishwashing facilities at night. A site map would be very helpful. A larger fridge would also be useful as there was only one normal sized fridge which was at freezing temperature so we had to store food in the mini fridge.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Grad you liked the facilities and gardens, a lot of years of planting and digging have gone into creating them.
We will look into more lighting.
With regards to fridge/freezer. We only advertise we have a freezer so what you thought was a fridge is actually freezer which is why it was a freezing temperature. We will put a sign on it saying freezer so no one else gets confused.
The mini fridge was just something we added this year as a bonus but don’t advertise it.
A site map is a great idea and something we are currently talking about.

A aimé We were lucky enough to get the large pitch close to the garden. It was ideal. The site is beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing.
Toilets and shower area are very clean.
The added bonus to this site is the manor gardens, so nice to walk around, very relaxing.
Lovely sea views from various locations.

A aimé Lovely site, great views, quiet. Given pitch on our own, was great.
Showers and toilets were excellent.
The gardens at Hilton court were lovely, had a lovely walk around the grounds exploring.

N'a pas aimé Only criticism was the washing up area was a bit sad and the hot water was not very hot.

We are looking at getting a bigger water heater as this August we have been very busy and we need to upgrade to cope with demand.

N'a pas aimé Showers could do with a shelf for putting shower gel etc. A few more shelves in the rest of the shower area would be nice too.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thanks for the feedback. We have lots of hooks everywhere in the shower and toilet area and a shelf by the mirror but we will get a small shelf for each shower for shampoo etc.
