Marçon, Sarthe, France
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The setting was lovely.
Disliked It was unkempt. The grass was long so we got wet feet. The washing and toilet facilities were awful There was a notice explaining they would be upgraded at the end of the year. But they were dirty too. No toilet paper or soap and not even clean which is a disgrace. There is no excuse for laziness and dirt. We were there for 1 night but I feel sorry for all those who have booked a longer stay here.

From the manager: Hello We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. Regarding the grass, we have had some rain recently and cannot mow on public holidays. Regarding the restrooms, they will be renovated this year, and we are in no way responsible for the lack of courtesy of other guests; we cannot monitor everyone. Have a lovely day.
Gavá, Barcelona, Spain
Powered campsite (large)
Liked Clean facilities and a good sized pitch. Easy access by bus to Barcelona. Helpful staff.
Disliked Being under the flight path of planes every 2 to 3 minutes. Also following heavy rain a strong smell of drains/sewers which may have flooded. A dark overflow in a channel just next to the camp running out to sea. Would not swim there.

Vallon Pont d'Arc, Ardèche, France
Power optional grass and earth campsite
Liked Access to the river and a great kayak trip.
Disliked The facilities were dirty. No one did any cleaning of the showers or toilets while we were there. The toilets stank of urine. There is no excuse for not cleaning, this is a basic expectation.

From the manager: We are very sorry for the desagrement but we clean up the showers and toiletts twice a day and sometimes people are very dirty ...
