Δεν μου άρεσε Everything else! Honestly it’s the worst site I’ve been too. I can only imagine negative reviews have somehow been deleted! The ablutions were filthy, clothes hung up on every horizontal feature, groups of men hanging around near children’s play areas. cigarette butts everywhere and washing facilities being used for every manner of cleaning! Even when clothes weren’t being washed, the facilities were left in an absolute state. To me it looked like coach loads (no exaggeration) of workers have been housed there whilst working the fields or the like. Somewhat reminiscent of a refugee camp! Horrendous and my family felt unsafe for the duration. No way the reviews previously posted depict what this place is actually like.

We are genuinely sorry that your stay did not reflect the standards that we normally provide at our campsite, and we fully understand your disappointment, particularly as you were travelling with your family. We would first like to reassure you on one important point: we have never deleted or asked for the deletion of a negative review. Regarding the situation you experienced, it was unfortunately linked to this year’s grape harvest season. We had organised the campsite to accommodate around 80 seasonal workers, the majority of whom were due to stay in mobile homes. However, we unexpectedly found ourselves having to manage around 150 people, including more than 70 staying in tents. This sudden and very significant increase in numbers put considerable pressure on our sanitary facilities and communal areas, and we fully recognise that, during this period, we were not able to maintain the level of cleanliness and comfort that our usual guests are entitled to expect. Normally, the grape harvest takes place later in the season, which is why this type of situation does not usually affect our August holidaymakers. This year, however, the harvest dates were brought forward because of the weather conditions, creating an exceptional overlap between our tourist season and the arrival of seasonal workers. This explanation is not intended to dismiss your experience. We understand that what matters to you is the condition of the campsite during your stay, and on that point we sincerely regret that we were unable to provide the environment you expected. We are nevertheless grateful that you highlighted the friendliness of our staff, the size of the pitches and the fresh bread service, and we thank you for having taken the time to give us your feedback. Cette augmentation soudaine et très importante du nombre de personnes présentes a exercé une forte pression sur nos sanitaires et nos espaces communs, et nous reconnaissons pleinement que, durant cette période, nous n’avons pas été en mesure de maintenir le niveau de propreté et de confort auquel nos clients habituels sont en droit de s’attendre. Habituellement, les vendanges ont lieu plus tard dans la saison, ce qui explique pourquoi ce type de situation ne touche normalement pas nos vacanciers du mois d’août. Cette année, cependant, les dates des vendanges ont été avancées en raison des conditions météorologiques, créant une situation exceptionnelle avec un chevauchement entre notre pleine saison touristique et l’arrivée des travailleurs saisonniers. Cette explication n’a pas pour but de minimiser votre expérience. Nous comprenons parfaitement que ce qui compte pour vous est l’état du camping au moment de votre séjour, et sur ce point nous regrettons sincèrement de ne pas avoir pu vous offrir l’environnement auquel vous étiez en droit de vous attendre. Nous vous remercions néanmoins d’avoir souligné l’amabilité de notre personnel, la taille de nos emplacements ainsi que notre service de pain frais, et nous vous remercions d’avoir pris le temps de nous faire part de votre retour.

Μου άρεσε Lovely location, super helpful staff great swimming pool. Sadly we were there when a huge storm passed through. As a result power was knocked out and services halted. Nothing the campsite could have done about this as it was out of human control

Μου άρεσε The vibe, the friendliness, the staff, the kids play area, the pool……everything! Our pitch wasn’t ideal but it was probably allocated to us as it was an overnight stop. But what a gem of a place this is! The owners were on it, from receiving guests to constantly maintaining a clean and welcoming campsite. We will find a reason to go back here

Μου άρεσε Very tucked away campsite. Busy but spacious. Plenty to keep children entertained. Pitch was XL and a great size. Lots to do nearby and very easy to get to and from Prague. Swimming pool was great. Reception staff were fantastic btw.

Δεν μου άρεσε The map could do with being updated with water points and waste points (I couldn’t see them).

Μου άρεσε It’s exactly what it says on the tin! A safe location to stop off, hook up and rest over night. Locations is ideal. Showers and toilet facilities were exceptional. Even serving hot food and beers. A very niche place but worth a visit if you want security and power when transiting Europe. A special mention to the chap who showed us our pitch! Super helpful, polite and friendly 👍🏼

Μου άρεσε On first impressions I wasn’t that in love with this site, however it was a very good stay in a super convenient location. The pitches (albeit smaller than I expected) are all fully serviced. The proximity to the beach is mega and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Massive field in the middle that allows for a safe space for kids to play, ride bikes and not get in the way of others. Other tourers were very hospitable and welcoming and I think we will return quite soon. Even with the bar within stones throw, it was quiet and peaceful.

Δεν μου άρεσε Layout of the touring pitches wasn’t particularly inviting. Driving on the wrong side of the road at the entrance seemed a peculiar feature.

Δεν μου άρεσε The picthup.com reviews for this place seem woefully inaccurate. Our friends booking requirements were completely ignored despite numerous phone calls confirming our requests. Stagnant drainage ditch behind our pitch, road noise, cleanliness of wash facilities, dogs off leads, no phone/WiFi signal, mould and mildew on shower curtains, cobwebs spiders and flies in washrooms. Our pitch had no 16amp distribution box and constantly had people walking through it like it was a through access point. Was it really a pitch????

Από τον διαχειριστή: What! the facilities are deep cleaned twice a day as per Covid instructions. There are posters in every toilet/shower to spray the anti virus on all you will touch before and after your visit. During stormy weather of course humidity and we do have our own sewage system. Again the road to The lizard is a dead end as we are the last stop before the end of UK so any traffic has to come back again.This road is busy during daylight hours but is quiet at night when all have gone home.We have double and triple distribution boxes so perhaps you didnt look for yours.We would have showed you if you had asked. we are constandly Full from June so we are a busy couple. Re wildlife,spiders,moths etc unfortunately I cannot control those haha.I think sites that have a municipal toilet block and no soul would suit your obvious needs better,quaint sites AKA darling buds of may are not your bag it seems. we have so many repeat bookings we MUST be providing what a lot of guests want.
