What customers say
This is a peaceful, well-maintained site offering isolation and countryside views, with helpful owners. While some guests find the adjacent train line noticeable, others report no issues, especially from hardstanding pitches or when trains stop at night. The site currently lacks shower, toilet, and waste disposal facilities, though the owner has plans for improvements. Electricity and water are available, and guests appreciate the secure, gated access and quiet atmosphere for recharging.

We would use the site again but felt it wasn’t value for money.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Jo was lovely
Beautiful sunsets over the surrounding fields
Brilliant to be able to let ourselves in and out of the site via padlocked gate
Disliked This was pricy for what we got. We paid £35 a night for a space with electricity and a water supply.
There is no facility to dispose of waste water, toilet contents or rubbish bags.
The site needs care- the electric points and taps were deep in long grass and weeds so we were lucky it was dry weather! There is an outside washing up sink but it was rusty and filthy so unusable. These are minor things that an afternoon’s work would sort out but I think they need to be sorted at that price.

Great for an overnight getaway
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lots of space and level hardstanding pitches which weren't swimming in mud! Nice view of surrounding fields. A two mile walk away over footpaths and fields is the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to! If you decide to take the foot path there is only one badly signposted bit, at the beginning, after you take the style onto a short section of road you then need to turn right into some ones driveway (Mill house or something with Mill in the name), if we hadn't been given directions were wouldn't have known, after that an easy and pleasant (if muddy) walk and worth the effort for the amazing food! Lots of lovely walking trails a short drive away.
Disliked We had noted from the website that there was no toilet or shower facilities but hadn't also realised that there was also no grey water disposal- which as we were only staying one night was actually fine. The water was off when we arrived but we were kindly given the option to fill our tank from the house supply. If you are noise sensitive you will need ear plugs/ noise cancelling headphones or to stay elsewhere, as the railway line is directly adjacent to the site and it is the mainline to Brighton so trains run every few minutes during the day. They did stop between around 12.30 to 6.30am Sunday and you get a glimpse of bygone times and the sound of birds in these moments..
