Off the A613, halfway between the villages of Bubwith and Holme-on-Spalding-Moor (five minutes’ drive to either), Fourways Campsite is a peaceful glamping retreat in the splendid North Yorkshire countryside. It is also an adults-only site. Well… adults and dogs, that is, for your four-legged friend is more than welcome in these intimate, well-maintained surrounds. You can unwind on site watching the sun set over the hills; then, as the chill of those Yorkshire evenings starts to creep in, sit around the campfire. Or pull up a comfy chair and get spotting your favourite constellations in this area of minimal light pollution. Looking at the sky is all very well (and you might catch sight of a barn owl swooping down on its prey), but don’t forget to look around for more earth-bound creatures, too, including squirrels, rabbits and foxes. When it’s time for doggie walks, the local area has plenty of trails to explore, such as the Old Railway Path (less than four minutes’ walk away from the site). This is a bridleway that links Market Weighton to Bubwith, where it runs along the river Derwent. Keen anglers can check out Winfield Lakes (five minutes’ drive), where they may catch roach, bream or carp. There’s a communal fridge and ice-pack freezing facilities on site. If you prefer to leave cooking duties to someone else, there’s a restaurant less than two minutes’ walk away, with more options (traditional eateries, butchers, bakers, deli and takeaways) in Bubwith. A bus route runs along the A613.

Aquest és un càmping tranquil i petit, ideal per a una escapada relaxant, amb bones rutes de senderisme i ciclisme a prop. Els hostes destaquen l'amabilitat i l'ajuda del personal, les instal·lacions netes i l'ambient silenciós. Tot i que alguns valoren la privadesa per la poca ocupació, una ressenya va trobar una mica lluny el camí al poble més proper. Em va agradar Loved this site. Quiet, small, just right for a couple of nights away. We stayed in the cabin which was lovely and warm (didn't need heating on). TV wasn't expected but good for a film later in the evening. Clean showers, toilets and washing up area. Lovely owner Sue who popped by to check we were OK.

Em va agradar What a gem! An amazing, clean and friendly run camp and glamping site. Myself and my daughter had a lovely time away. We booked the glamping and it was very spacious compared to what we have stayed in before. Everything was very clean, it was quiet,and very relaxing, the owners were so helpful and very friendly. We can not wait until we return!

Em va agradar The camping field is large and at present the owners only allow 3 bookings at a time (not including the 2 glamping huts). This means there is plenty of space and the site is very peaceful.
The facilities were clean and as not many onsite never busy.
The owners were friendly and communicated well prior to our stay.

Em va agradar Very tranquil and peaceful. Nice country walk into the nearest village, along a few other walks. Pub just around the corner from the site. There are a couple of take aways that offer delivery

Paying £5/ day appears excessive especially during warmer times.

Just to clarify, the optional £5 daily charge is for the electric hook-up. This flat rate is on the lower end for UK sites.
Regarding facilities, they are free of charge , we do have a separate, single shower and loo for guests who prefer total privacy.

A half-hour drive takes you into York, where you can easily while away an afternoon exploring the medieval York Minster, with its spectacular stained-glass windows, and walking atop the defensive city walls. York’s Chocolate Story appeals to those with a sweet tooth, who can make their own chocolate and (of course) taste, taste and taste some more. Occupying a former gravel quarry, North Cave Wetlands (20 minutes) is populated by seasonal birdlife such as avocets and oystercatchers in spring, common terns in summer (along with large numbers of dragonflies) and winter waders. A looping trail and grass and stone paths make it easy to reach the hides scattered around the reserve. With its long sandy beach, Bridlington (one hour) is a popular destination for watersports enthusiasts. Fishing trips depart from the harbour dotted with colourful boats, and you can also go on a pleasure cruise (exploring the coast around Flamborough Head and beyond) on the Yorkshire Belle.
